1. Place the Parts on the Table

Begin by unpacking all components of the ComMarker B4 fiber laser engraver. Lay them out on a clean, flat surface to ensure you have all the necessary parts and tools before starting the assembly.

2. Place the Coupling on the Right Place of the Shaft

Locate the shaft on your laser engraver. ensuring it fits snugly in its designated spot. The coupling is essential for connecting the motor to the laser head, allowing precise movements during operation.

3. Fasten the Coupling with the Inlaid Screws

Once the coupling is in place, use the provided inlaid screws to secure it tightly. This ensures the coupling stays firmly attached to the shaft during the engraving process.

4. Fasten the Supporting Pole with the Screws

5. Put the Laser Head on the Supporting Shelf and Fasten the Screws to Fix the Laser Head

6. Put the Gasket on the Top of the Pole, Circling the Lead Screw

How to Install the Drivers for Your Fiber Laser Engraver?

1.Install the driver

Note: please conduct the following operation before installing the driver
1) The machine is on;

2) Keep the emergency button not pressed;

3) Data cable connected

1. Open Device Management

Start by right-clicking on “This PC” or “My Computer” on your desktop or in the file explorer. From the context menu, select “Manage” to open the Computer Management window.

2. Access Device Manager

In the Computer Management window, click on “Device Manager” in the left-hand pane. This will display a list of all the hardware devices connected to your computer.

3. Locate the Device

In Device Manager, look for “USBLMCV2”, “USBLMCV4”, or “Unknown Device” under “Other devices” or “Universal Serial Bus devices”. These entries represent your fiber laser engraver that needs the driver installed.

Right-click on “USBLMCV2”, “USBLMCV4”, or “Unknown Device” and select “Update driver” from the context menu.

2. Open the Software

  1. Access the USB Folder:
    • Open the USB folder that came with your fiber laser engraver.
    • Navigate to the “EZCAD for ComMarker” folder.
    • If your lens is 110mm, select the 110mm folder.
  2. Launch EZCAD2:
    • Open the software “EZCAD2” from the selected folder.
    • You can enter “text”, import “picture” or “vector file”. For initial testing, it is recommended to select and test with text.

3. Import the Correction File

  1. Open Parameter Settings:
    • In EZCAD2, select “Parameter (F3)”.
    • Tick “Use Correct File”.
  2. Select the Correction File:
    • Choose the file ending in .cor from the USB flash drive (or the file that has been copied to the computer disk).
    • Click “OK (确认)” to apply the correction file.

4. Adjust the Focus

  1. Find the Best Focal Point:
    • Use the up or down buttons to lift or lower the laser head until the three red light points overlap.
    • The point where these three red lights overlap is the optimal focal point for engraving.
  2. Measure the Focal Length:
    • The measuring focal length for this machine is specific to the lens:
      • 110mm lens: _______ mm
      • 200mm lens: _______ mm
    • The measuring distance is the length from the bottom line of the laser head to the surface of the engraving material. This parameter is measured manually, and each device may have different focal lengths due to variations in laser sources and field lenses.

Note: Before the machine is out of the factory, we have done red light correction (for 110mmlens). At thepositionwhere the three red light spots overlap, the laser emits the strongest light. Q1: The driver installation was unsuccessful?

  1. Check Your Windows System: Ensure you are using a licensed Windows system. If not, try using another computer.

Q4: The red light preview works with a rectangle, but there is no mark or the marks are very light.

Q5: Cannot find dongle, software works in demo mode, or fails to open the LMC driver.

Q8: How to change the physical marking area in the software?

  • Adjust Field Parameters: Click “Parameter (F3)”, then select “Field”. Input numbers in “Offset X”, “Offset Y”, or “Angle” based on measurements with a ruler.

Clean Field Lens: Ensure the field lens is clean. If dirty, clean it carefully.

  • Adjust Red Light Source: Remove the laser head cover, manually adjust the red light source, move and fix it again, or disassemble and reinstall.

Q12: Nothing displays on the canvas board when importing text or pictures.

  • Center Content: Click the practical center button to center the picture and text on the canvas.

Q13: The laser becomes weaker, and the engraving effect worsens.

  1. Clean Field Lens: Clean the field lens with a clean cloth. If the lens cover is not removed during marking, it can cause pollution and weaker laser performance.
  2. Replace Field Lens: If the field lens is too polluted, it may need to be replaced.

Q14: Which version of LightBurn software is right for the ComMarker B4?

  • Existing License: Purchase the “Add Galvo devices to existing license key” if you already have the software for a gantry type.
